A Japanese house building company has designed a flat with features especially designed for cats.

The designers at Asahi Kasei, who studied cat and human interaction before coming up with the design for a perfect cat home, have built an apartment with features like elevated platforms, tunnels, cat flaps in every door, steps to wooden beams and viewing areas which are dispersed around the property.

Cat-proof surfaces have also been used which are resistant to scratches and easy to clean.
