Imran Khan drops hints to wed again, to ‘share good news next week’

Former Pakistani star cricketer and Tehreek-e-Insaf party chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday announced that he would share 'some good news' with his nation regarding his plans of marriage in the coming week.

Speaking the to media at his Bani Gala residence on the outskirts of Islamabad, Imran Khan told reporters “Marriage is not a crime. I will share good news with the nation next week.”

Imran Khan’s comments come some days after he had termed news of his marriage published by an English paper as “greatly exaggerated.” But the Daily Mail, the English tabloid that ran a story on Imran Khan’s marriage earlier, confirmed news of his marriage on Tuesday.

Following this, Imran Khan told supporters before boarding a flight from London to Islamabad, “I am going to Pakistan to share the good news of my marriage with the nation. I have nothing to hide.”

The Daily Mail reported that Imran Khan was secretly wed to Reham Khan, a journalist who formerly presented the weather on the BBC. Reham Khan currently works as a news anchor on Dawn TV, a leading news channel of Pakistan which is affiliated with the Dawn newspaper.

Imran Khan told reporters in Islamabad that he had earlier been ambigious about his second marraige because he first wanted to discuss this with his sons prior to making a public announcement.

“When you have kids from your first marriage, they are your biggest priority. Their happiness comes before my happiness,” said Imran, adding that his children had already suffered a lot due to his divorce with Jemima Khan.
