Jordan's Prime Minister Nader Dahabi announced a broad cabinet reshuffle on Monday that changed the foreign, interior and finance portfolios to give him more room to tackle social and economic woes, officials said.

They said the reshuffle was aimed at ensuring greater cohesion among Dahabi's cabinet, appointed in November 2007 with a mandate to accelerate economic reforms seen as crucial to meet the country's challenges.

A senior government aide said a new cabinet would be sworn in by King Abdullah on Monday with a new ministerial line-up that brings in 10 new ministers to a 27-member cabinet.
