Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Wednesday outlined a string of conditions for long-term US bases in Afghanistan.
Karzai said he wanted Afghan-US relations to be those of "two independent countries".
He called on the US to stop night raids and disband international bodies which carry out government functions as conditions of the deal.
If Washington meets the demands, Karzai said Afghanistan was prepared to host US troops in the long-term.
