A militant was shot dead and one was arrested during a security operation in northern Russia on Saturday, officials said.

A militant was shot dead and one was arrested during a security operation in northern Russia on Saturday, officials said.
The operation was conducted in Nazran, capital of the North Caucasus republic of Ingushetia, said the Russian Investigation Committee.
It took place in a "roofed market" in Nazran, a spokesman said.
