The attack came a day after Pakistani authorities said NATO helicopters from Afghanistan had killed three soldiers in a cross-border strike.

"The attackers fired with small arms on tankers and fled away. No one was hurt," an official of the paramilitary Rangers force in Shikarpur town, where the attack took place, told Reuters.
