One person was killed on Monday in a blast near a police post in China's financial hub Shanghai, the state news agency Xinhua reported.
The incident took place at around 0930 IST near the gate of the municipal public security bureau office on Wuning South Road, the brief report said, adding that no one else had been injured in the explosion.
The person killed was not immediately identified, a police official told Xinhua.
