Gilani, who left Islamabad on Saturday for an official visit to the US, issued a statement condemning the terrorist violence in India shortly after Ahmedabad was rocked by 16 bomb blasts that killed at least 20 people and injured hundreds.
A statement issued by the foreign ministry said: "Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has strongly condemned the acts of terrorist violence in the Indian cities of Ahmedabad and Bangalore and expressed deep sympathies with the bereaved families and the victims of these dastardly acts of senseless violence against innocent persons."
