Qureshi, who was accompanied by senior officials of the foreign ministry, will meet his Afghan and Iranian counterparts.
A statement issued by the Afghan foreign ministry said the three foreign ministers would discuss "regional problems and their possible solutions, the campaign against terrorism and narcotics and bolstering of trilateral cooperation".
The summit meeting is likely to be held next month in Tehran. A preparatory meeting was also held in Islamabad early this month.
