Reports in Geo TV said on Wednesday claimed that the lone surviving terrorist of the Mumbai terror attacks, Ajmal Amir Kasab, has been charged by the Pakistani authorities.

The reports further claim that 13 people, including Kasab, have been charged. The cases have been registered as per the directives of the DCC.

The authorities have also reportedly arrested three people. All have been charged under the Terrorism Act on the basis of the investigations of the Pakistani Federal Investigative Agency (FIA).

Earlier, Pakistan's intelligence agencies had arrested three men in Karachi for their alleged links to Kasab.

"The intelligence agencies had taken the three men into custody from different parts of Karachi because of their alleged affiliation with Kasab," the Daily Times quoted a source as saying. The men were "reportedly taken to Islamabad and an investigation was in progress", the newspaper reported.

However, there was no official word on the development. The spokesman for the interior ministry could not be reached for comments. The three men were arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency and other intelligence agencies, it said.
