At a public meeting in Mulla Gori Sherbridge, the Mulla Gori and Zakha Khel tribes announced that they would not let their women vote.

Tribal elders warned the Election Commission not to set up polling stations for women in their areas, the Daily Times reported on Saturday.

The elders also threatened action against women in line with tribal traditions if they violate the decision.
