S Korea, US launch joint military exercise

South Korea and the United States on Tuesday launched a joint military exercise, a spokesman said, as North Korea urged them to cancel if they want to see denuclearisation on the Korean peninsula.
The 10-day Ulchi Freedom Guardian exercise is an annual computer-assisted simulation command-post exercise involving tens of thousands of troops from the two allies.
