Six sailors are missing and five others rescued after a Chinese cargo ship sank near the mouth of the Yangtze River, rescue officials said on Tuesday.

The vessel "Zhedai 74219", carrying a load of stone, sank around noon on Sunday after its engine failed.

Rescue workers are still searching for the missing sailors, Xinhua news agency reported.
