Solving Guantanamo inmate issue will take time-Obama

Obama said he did not expect the Guantanamo issue to be resolved within the next two to three months, at a news conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Dresden.

US President Barack Obama said on Friday he had not asked Germany for hard commitments on taking inmates from the US military prison in Guantanamo Bay, and had not received any.

Obama said he did not expect the Guantanamo issue to be resolved within the next two to three months. "It will take longer," he said at a news conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in the eastern city of Dresden.
