Swiss police say ten people have been caught in an avalanche near the southern border with Italy.

Swiss police say ten people have been caught in an avalanche near the southern border with Italy.
Local police spokesman Jean-Marie Bornet says an eleventh person was able to free himself and raise the alarm.
He told The Associated Press on Saturday that a major rescue operation is currently underway.
