At least seven people were killed when a tour bus veered off a hillside after colliding with a truck in southern Taiwan, rescuers said.

At least seven people were killed when a tour bus veered off a hillside after colliding with a truck in southern Taiwan, rescuers said on Saturday.
The bus, carrying 28 people, hurtled down a 10-metre slope after the collision on a highway in the southern county of Kaohsiung, the local fire department said.
Seven people were killed on the spot while the others were rushed to nearby hospitals.
Television footage showed rescuers using ropes and stretchers to lift passengers out of the mangled bus.
