The pro-Thaksin People Power Party won 233 of the 480 parliament seats, while its main rival the Democrat Party got 165.

The Chart Thai Party has 37, Puea Pandin Party has 24, Ruam Jai Thai Chart Pattana Party got nine, Matchimathipataya Party seven and Pracharaj Party won five seats.

However, Apichart said the EC would rely on evidence to rule on how many red and yellow cards to be issued on electoral fraud and set no limits on the number of candidates to be disqualified.
