"That training is now a few months old. We're in our second group. It's gone very well," Mullen told reporters during Pentagon briefing.
"The leadership there and particularly the head of the Frontier Corps, the Pakistani two-star general, is very pleased with what's happened. We continue to do that," he said.
Mullen, however, said training programme is not expanding at this point of time. "But the Pakistani military leadership is very pleased with what they've gotten in a relatively short period of time, given that we just started the training," Mullen added.
Whether the Pakistani leadership has expressed their desire to expand it, he said: "Not significantly at this point in time. I think we'll kind of take that, you know, one step at a time over time."
