According to the study, based on a survey of 3,000 women, almost three quarters of the respondents said they were more attracted to men who understand gadgets and technology than blokes who spend hours keeping himself fit.

Almost half the women polled want a man around the house who can help sort out the TV, stereo, and home computer.

More than half said having chap who knows how to fix things makes them feel cared for, the Daily Express reported.

The survey found that the one chore women really want their men to take care of is sorting out their gadgets. One in 10 said they would rather their partners fixed their favourite gadgets than get around to changing the bedroom sheets.

Occasionally, not being good with gadgets can spell the end of a beautiful romance.

One in 20 women admit to dumping a guy because they knew more about fixing gadgets than he did - “it's not you, it's me, I've this thing about geeks”.
