How real is Game of Thrones?

Pretty real, if you look at all the historical characters and incidents

Did you know that the ongoing battle in the big bad world of Westeros finds its roots in the real life Wars of the Roses that was fought between the houses of Yorks and Lancasters between 1450 to 1485? What’s most interesting is that it was fought for what is now known as King Edward’s Chair. Sounds similar to the ongoing conflict between the Starks and the Lannister’s of the West fight for the Iron Throne, doesn’t it? In fact, a few characters such as Tywin Lannister and Robert Baratheon were actually inspired by king of England Edward I and usurper Edward IV respectively.
