A British dance group is here in the Capital to get you groove. Hofesh Shechter, who leads the troupe, will perform dance drama called Political Mother.

The dance show, which is part of Impulse Season 2, has been declared an ‘audio visual marvel’ by critics. It brims with Shectar's emotional and gritty complexity with pulsating live music, extraordinary ensemble sequences and cinematic editing.

"Usually, the Political Mother has a very strong influence on people. We've performed around the world and always received well. I am hoping just the same here too," says Shechter.

The show will see ten artists performing accompanied by Shechter’s cinematic score featuring a band of live drummers and electric guitarists.

"Our work is promote best of UK and Indian art and colloborate the two. We realise that India takes dance very seriously given the reality shows that are running on television," says Vivek Mansukhani, director of arts, British Council India.
