Barely a year old, Quila Records — an indie record label of electronic music — is performing today at the Zoo, Garden of Five Senses.
The record label comprises DJ Kohra (Madhav Shorey, 24) and Gaurav, 25, of Basic Love of Things who will play a marathon set the old school way on vinyl.
At best what you expect is a gamut of music styles from Minimal to Tech-House to Progressive to Techno. In idiot terms, they play electronic dance music.
As a record label, they are working with about eight international artistes and will be releasing their music online shortly. As artistes, Gaurav has recently returned from a Europe tour, he performed extensively in Germany. Madhav has been a DJ since the age of 14 and has played in Australian clubs.
Quila Records is tapping into the underground electronic music scene around the world. And, are pretty clued on.
The Zoo, Garden of Five Senses tonight at 10 pm
