NDMC reverses its fasting break order

NDMC’s move to revoke the circular comes a day after the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) rescinded a similar relaxation for Muslim employees during Ramzan after opposition by BJP leaders, including the party’s Delhi chief Adesh Gupta who called the the move “appeasement”.

Leader of opposition in SDMC and AAP councillor Prem Chauhan said that it was understandable that people are observing fast, and that their sentiments should be respected but the mayor represents all religions and if someone wants to eat meat, we cant force them not to do so.

Climate crisis, year-long dengue cases in Delhi linked: South MCD

The weekly vector-borne disease report issued by the three municipal corporations on Monday showed that the city has reported a record 55 dengue cases till March 26 this year, which is almost 5-10 times the normal.
