In February 2024, the government declined a no-objection certificate (NOC) to install the six-ft-tall statue of the former CM on the Ridge, leading to Vikramaditya resigning from the state cabinet.

2 bike-borne men open fire at dhaba owner in Mandi; flee with cash

Two bike-borne assailants opened fire at a dhaba owner in Mandi district when he stopped them from stealing cash from the counter, police said on Saturday. A special investigation team headed by an additional SP has been constituted to investigate the matter.
