Bhopal BJP MP fined Rs 250 for not wearing helmet while riding bike
Sanjar said he had received a notice regarding the fine and that he has deposited the amount to the police on Wednesday.
Based on an anonymous complaint, BJP MP from Bhopal, Alok Sanjar was fined Rs 250 for not wearing a helmet while riding a bike during an event in the city.

“Jab galti kiya hai to saza toh bhugtani hi padegi (When I have committed a mistake, I have to face the punishment),” he said.
Sanjar was riding bike with Bhopal Central MLA Surendra Nath Singh sitting on the pillion.
They were taking part in the ‘Ekatm Yatra’ in the city on Monday which was started by the state government to collect metals to erect a statue of Adi Shankaracharya at Omkareshwar in the coming months.
As per police sources, an anonymous complaint was sent to the traffic police regarding the violation of MP Motor Vehicle Rules.
Earlier, the MP who is a first timer in Lok Sabha apologised for his act through a tweet, saying, “Ekatm yatra ke samay karyakartaon ke agrah par motor cycle chalai, bina helmet pahankar chalai. Kshmaprathi hun, bhavishya me dhyan rakhunga (I rode a motorcycle at the request of party workers at the time of Ekatm Yatra without wearing a helmet. I apologise. I will take care in future).”
“I was in Delhi when I came to know about the notice from the traffic police. I reached Bhopal on Wednesday and immediately deposited the fine,” he said.
