Dr Richa Johari, an accused in the DMAT medical admission scam, managed to escape from the family hospital after seeing the SIT team from Gwalior coming.
She allegedly wore the dress of a nurse to hoodwink the police, sources said. Richa is the daughter of Dr MS Johari, who was arrested last week by Gwalior SIT in the DMAT scam.
Dr Johari's arrest came after the main accused in DMAT scam, Yogesh Uprit, revealed that he had taken around Rs 25 lakh from the former to get Richa admitted to postgraduate medical course.
The special investigation team from Gwalior conducted a search at the hospital and residence of Dr MS Johari on Monday.
The SIT team also took the copy of the data from computers in the hospital and the residence of Dr Johari.
However, Richa managed to escape. Despite repeated calls, Gwalior SIT incharge Virendra Jain could not be contacted.
