STF to gather info about MP PMT scam accused Gangaram’s assets

The district court on Tuesday extended STF custody of Gangaram Pipalia, who is one of the key accused of Pre-medical Test (PMT) scam, till September 19.
Gangaram Pipalia alias Prajapati is accused of PMT-2013 and PMT-2012 scams. He was earlier arrested in PMT-2013 scam.
Recently, he was arrested afresh in PMT-2012 scam and is being interrogated. He was produced in the court on expiry of his remand. He had fradulently helped over 300 students clear the written exam of PMT of 2012-13.
Now, the STF officials will collect information about the properties of Gangaram. STF officials said Gangaram was working as accountant at the hospital of Jagadish Sagar. "His all three sons are pursuing MBBS from different colleges of the state. Two of them are in private college. As per his sources of income, he could not pay fee of sons. We will have to check whether his sons have taken education loans," said a STF officer.
STF sources claimed that Gangram also owns disproportionate properties, which he earned by helping students clear PMT exams. He was a key member of Dr Jagadish Sagar, who is considered as kingpin of PMT scam.
The modus operandi of Gangram was that he would collect contact details of PMT aspirants from various coaching centres.
Later, he would contact and lure them on the name of getting them passed PMT exam.
