Ever since a few photographs from the sets of Vijay Krishna Acharya’s Dhoom:3 were leaked to a publication recently, the makers of the film have become extra-cautious. In order to prevent such incidents, Aamir Khan, in agreement with producers Yash Raj Films, has now banned camera phones from the film set altogether.

Initially, the crew was asked to keep their phones switched off on the sets. But the security breach proved that the idea was not fool-proof. “So now the makers have provided the crew with mobile phones that don’t have cameras. This way, they can remain connected and the makers will not have to stress about any pictures or information about the actors’ looks getting leaked,” informs an insider from Chicago, USA, which is where the film is being shot. Aamir’s personal entourage has to also adhere to this rule as long as the shooting schedule lasts till October 17.

Aamir, who will be seen in an action-role after Ghajini (2008), is currently shooting the film with Katrina Kaif and Uday Chopra. Abhishek Bachchan, who reprises his role as inspector Jay Dixit in the third installment of the franchise, returned to the city a few days ago for father-actor Amitabh Bachchan’s 70th birthday on Wednesday.
