Abhishek Bachchan’s Manmarziyaan to clash with Shahid Kapoor’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan, which stars Abhishek Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu, will clash at the box office with Shahid Kapoor’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu.

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming film Manmarziyaan will hit the screens on September 21. Producer Aanand L Rai announced the release date on Friday on Twitter.

Abhishek Bachchan makes a return after two years with Manmarziyaa.

He shared a colourful poster of the film and captioned it: “I don’t want to die without a few scars’! This is how I define Anurag Kashyap and his brilliant actors on the journey of Manmarziyaan, Abhishek Bachchan, Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu! On September 21, meet the guts.”

Stars Abhishek Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal, who too shared the same poster. This is the first time Abhishek is collaborating with Taapsee and Vicky for a project and is his first release after a two year absence.

In an earlier interview to IANS, Taapsee had said Manmarziyaan is a beautiful mix of the different worlds of filmmakers Rai and Kashyap.

The film will clash at the box office with Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu. The film, about the problems of power cuts in rural India, is directed by Shree Narayan Singh.
