Actor Amit Sadh’s film journey is not all hunky-dory. On one hand, he rose to fame with Kai Po Che! (2013), on the other, films such as Akira (2016) and Guddu Rangeela (2015) weren’t commercially successful. But he says, “Now you would day that Sarkar 3 was a disappointment for me, but that was one of the best introductions I have got in Hindi cinema! I was a fan boy for Ram Gopal Varma (the director), I got to work with him. How can I be disappointed? I had such a good time working with him. I learnt so much that I am still using it in my craft and behaviour.”
Actor Amit Sadh played Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson in Sarkar 3.
“Similarly,” he adds, “In my wildest dreams, I had not dreamt that I will get to work with Amitabh Bachchan, and play his grandson!”
He further says, “It’s the way you look at it. Yes, Sarkar 3 made 10 crores and not 50 or 100 crores. But is that the benchmark for success? I was shooting for Gold in UK, and so many Indian people walked up to me, saying ‘You were amazing in Sarkar 3… yes, what everyone had hoped, maybe that didn’t happen. But when you give an exam, one doesn’t always get 100. I am one of those who get 30 on 100, and I am proud of that!,” Amit signs off.
