Amyra Dastur signs film with Dhanush

Actor Amyra Dastur, who was seen recently in Issaq with actor Pratiek Babbar, seems to have kept all her options open, including regional cinema. The actor has signed a Tamil film, Anegan, opposite actor Dhanush.

Actor Amyra Dastur, who was seen recently in Issaq with actor Pratiek Babbar, seems to have kept all her options open, including regional cinema. The actor has signed a Tamil film, Anegan, opposite actor Dhanush.

The film will see Amyra in a completely new look much in contrast to what she is in real life.

A source close to her says, “It’s a big budget film directed by KV Anand, and Amyra is playing a pivotal role opposite Dhanush. She has worked really hard on her language, as the makers wanted her to dub her own lines.

Talking about her co-star Dhanush, Amyra says that he’s been of great help. “He is such a lovely person to work with. He made me really feel at home on set and also helped me a lot with the language. In a span of a few days, I can grasp some Tamil and a lot of that credit goes to Dhanush, and to the whole lot of Tamil movies I saw. I saw movies that starred Rajnikanth Sir, Vikram and Madhuballah along with many of Mani Ratnam’s earlier films,” she says.

“It’s a love story with a suspense thriller angle with it. We will be shooting first in Chennai, then in South east Asia,” she adds.
