Recently, the duo will dub dialogues for a Mr. India-inspired ride at Adlabs honcho Manmohan Shetty’s ambitious theme park, Imagica. “Sridevi, Anil Kapoor and Satish Kaushik (who played Calendar in the film) recorded lines for our ride. We are using the popular line ‘Mogambo khush hua’. Besides, we have worked on an entirely new story and dialogues for the ride which aren’t similar to the ones in the film. Everyone, including Srideviji and Anilji, have been excited to be part of the project,” informs Aarti Shetty, creative director, Adlabs Entertainment Ltd. About the concept behind the ride, she says, “Basically, the simulator ride will give fans a chance to team up with Mr. India, Seema and a robotic version of Mr. India to take on one of the greatest villains of all time, Mogambo. Since Mr. India was an iconic film, audiences will immediately identify with it,” says Shetty.

The amusement park will take some time before it opens its doors to the public. “Right now, the ride is in its testing stage. If all goes well, the theme park and the ride will be functional in a few months’ time,” adds Aarti.

While Sridevi couldn’t be reached for a comment, Kapoor confirmed the development. “It was great fun to dub as Arun all over again. Once I was through with it, it felt like I had finished an entire shoot for the original film. The experience took me on a trip down memory lane.”
