Ashutosh Gowariker’s ready to get back to work. A thriller, maybe?
The film-maker will take up a thriller next that will be set abroad; also green-lights two other productions under his banner.
Film-maker Ashutosh Gowariker usually maintains a considerable gap between his directorial ventures. But HT Café has learnt that, after Mohenjo Daro, the 52-year-old is now set to direct his next only within a few months’ time.
An insider says, “Not many know that Ashutosh will be taking up a thriller that will be set abroad. It will go on the floors in the first half of 2017.”

Besides the movie he is directing, the film-maker and his team have also started working on two productions. “The casting process for all the three films is underway. All the movies are going to feature Bollywood stars.
A few weeks back, Ashutosh’s wife, Sunita Gowariker, had told the media that their banner “will expand”, and that they will make more films now. “These new projects will be formally announced within a few weeks,” says the insider, adding that the other two movies will be a musical and a romcom.
