Ayushmann Khurrana started out as a reality TV show contestant. Soon after, he began video jockeying, and hosting television and stage shows. The actor-singer went on to host several reality TV shows. He is amazed with the amount of opportunities reality TV shows provide people today.

Ayushmann feels that it takes hard work to stand out in the field of entertainment, especially in the music industry. “It (success) depends on you — how edgy and versatile you are, and how good you are as a performer. It also depends on what genre of music you listen to, and how you develop a good connection with the audience. It’s not just about being a good singer. It’s the overall personality that matters,” he says.

The Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015) actor adds that “the whole package” is significant. “One should be intelligent too. The prerequisite, of course, is that you should be a good singer,” he says.
