BO battle: Singh Is Bliing much ahead of Talvar

Two big films, Singh Is Bliing and Talvar, released simultaneously at the box office this Friday. Which one is impressing the audience more?

Akshay Kumar has once again proved his superstar status at the box office. His latest film Singh Is Bliing has garnered Rs 20.67 crore on its opening day. It’s a spectacular start after the film was panned by critics. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the film’s business on its day one at the ticket window.

Singh Is Bliing is directed by Prabhudheva and it also features Amy Jackson, Kay Kay Menon and Lara Dutta in pivotal roles.

On the other hand, director Mehgna Gulzar’s Talvar, which also released on October 2, has received a lukewarm response despite rave reviews. Based on the double homicide of Aarushi and Hemraj in Noida, Talvar gathered Rs 3 crore including the paid previews on October 1. Talvar features Neeraj Kabi, Konkona Sensharma and Irrfan Khan in important roles.
