Actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, who were spotted at a wedding in Mumbai recently, also took part in certain ceremonies, new pictures show. Online fan pages of both actors have shared new pictures from the wedding, which took place at Mumbai’s JW Marriott on Saturday.
The pictures show the actors, who themselves tied the knot in November 2018, blessing the newlyweds. They’re seen watching the ceremonies, kneeling to chat with the elderly, and Deepika is even seen talking with the bride.
Over the last few days, several pictures of the actor couple have emerged from the wedding - the earliest batch focussed on the guests’ surprise at seeing them, the next batch highlighted one particular moment that the internet couldn’t get enough of. Pictures showed Ranveer carrying Deepika’s heels as they navigated the crowd, much to the approval of the fans.
“A lovely gesture in helping her better half by really caring by his heart,” wrote a fan in the comments section. “This is true gentleman,” wrote another. Ranveer wore a black bandhgala to the wedding and Deepika wore a white sari with red floral print.
The actors are currently riding on a professional high. While Ranveer delivered back-to-back hits with Simmba and Gully Boy - one made over Rs 450 crore worldwide while the second made over Rs 250 crore worldwide - Deepika recently wrapped up the Delhi leg of her upcoming film Chhapaak. Deepika is playing an acid attack survivor in the film, currently in principal photography stage under the direction of Meghna Gulzar.
Ranveer will next be seen in Kabir Khan’s ‘83, and after that in Karan Johar’s period drama Takht. Deepika is expected to reprise her role in xXx 4, opposite Vin Diesel.
