As actor Deepika Padukone unveiled her wax statue on Thursday at Madame Tussauds in London, it was her sister Anisha Padukone who registered a “caption win”. Sharing Deepika’s picture where she is looking adoringly at the statue, Anisha cheekily wrote, “As if one of her was not enough. Double trouble #madametussauds #waxstatue #london PC : @madametussauds.”

Deepika was quick to reply to her sister’s post and she put out three emojis where she is sticking her tongue out. Deepika’s fans and followers on Instagram also reacted to the post. “Haha sisters are meant to be this way,” wrote one while another mentioned, “You are the funniest”.

Anisha often shares funny posts about her actor sister. Last year, Deepika had shared on social media, “After a hard day at work, this is what my little sister sends me!!! love you AP! @anishapadukone.” It was accompanied by pictures of a chihuahua in angry and sweet mode. “My sister at home,” it said on the angry dog’s pic and “My sister in public,” on the sweet dog’s photo.

Announcing her wax statue last year in July, Deepika had said in a video, “It’s fun, exciting and in a way I feel a lot of gratitude because you know when you give your fans a little more than just the movies, then it’s really, really special. I hope they enjoy it as much as we enjoy creating it.”

On the work front, Deepika was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat which proved to be a milestone in her career. She has now begun work on Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak where she essays the role of an acid attack survivor - a role inspired by Laxmi Agarwal. Deepika turns producer with the project.
