The rumours began when Deepika tweeted a picture with Vin Diesel without any caption.

Later, Vin Diesel too teased his fans about his leading lady Deepika Padukone in Xander Cage Returns, by sharing a picture with the Indian beauty on his Instagram.

The XXX franchise features Vin Diesel as a stuntman and adventure-seeker Xander Cage who is reluctantly turned into a spy for the NSA. Diesel recently confirmed that filming of the third entry in the franchise would commence in December.

During a Twitter chat on Saturday, XXX: The Return of Xander Cage director DJ Curaso, confirmed that Deepika is part of the film and wrote, “@CyrineZanaib @6eyf__ we start in january. She starts sometime in February.”
