Sanjay Dutt’s biopic is making a lot of noise much before its release. First, Ranbir Kapoor’s pictures resembling Dutt were leaked and had gone viral in no time. A few days back, there were speculations that filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani has found a fresh actor, who looks pretty much like Dutt’s wife Maanayata, so she was roped in to play her part in the film.

However, as per fresh reports, sources close to the film’s casting team have confirmed that actor Dia Mirza will be playing the role of Maanayata Dutt in the film, as it was reported earlier this year.

In a DNA report, source close to director Rajkumar Hirani have denied that they have taken Maanyata Dutt’s lookalike opposite Kapoor. The report adds that Mirza has already completed some schedule of her part.

It was earlier reported that casting director Mukesh Chabra decided to take up a new actor because she had a striking similarity with Sanjay Dutt’s real wife, Maanayata. “She is an unknown actress, but she looks exactly like Maana, so Hirani decided to go ahead with her,” source had said.
