After a successful TV career, Sushant made his big screen debut with Abhishek Kapoor’s Kai Po Che and his performance in the film bagged him a YRF project in the form of Shuddh Desi Romance.

His next two films were Hirani’s PK and Banerjee’s Detective Byomkesh Bakshy, which is now set for a sequel with Sushant gearing up to reprise his role.

When asked how did he manage to earn the trust of such acclaimed filmmakers, Sushant said, “All these filmmakers are great not because they know their job well, it’s because they are curious to know how to go about it. Such people would want an actor who is curious, wants to learn and get involved in his job to a maddening level that he forgets everything else. And I am all that.”
