Exclusive: Ranveer Singh, Vaani Kapoor up the heat in new Befikre picture

HT has got hold of an exclusive image of Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor from their new film, Befikre.

Vaani Kapoor, who celebrates her birthday on August 23, must be on cloud nine. This is a special year for the actor, as her big-ticket venture Befikre, in which she is paired opposite Ranveer Singh, will hit the theatres in December.

Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor will be seen together for the first time in their upcoming film Befikre, that has been shot in Paris.

Film-maker Aditya Chopra has returned to direction after eight years (he last directed Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi; 2008) with this film. Going by this exclusive image that HT Café has got, it seems like Vaani and Ranveer’s chemistry will create a buzz.

Vaani, who is Aditya’s new leading lady, will join the likes of Kajol, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma, after doing this film. In fact, she was confirmed as the film’s heroine after a lot of speculation regarding the same.

Last year, Aditya called this film his “happiest, youngest and riskiest” project in a letter about an “imaginary conversation” between him and his father, late film-maker Yash Chopra.

“It is different from any of the films I have directed so far. Till now, all the films I have directed or written have been intense, dramatic and emotional. This one is just a light-hearted romance, nothing more,” Aditya wrote.
