First look: Holiday has Akshay Kumar in a Special 26 avatar

The Holiday trailer offers a refreshing new perspective in terms of characterisation – a measured Akshay Kumar as an intelligence officer and Sonakshi Sinha playing a boxer!

The first trailer of Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha-starrer Holiday is out and we are impressed.

To begin with, Akshay Kumar reminds us of Special 26 instead of his larger-than-life Boss kind of roles.

Written and directed by AR Murugadoss, this movie is the story of an intelligence officer who has to follow his duty while he's on a holiday.

Akshay Kumar's dialogues do not sound over-dramatic and even Sonakshi Sinha seems to have done away with her sari-clad, demure image.

Instead, you will see her as a boxer in this one.

The trailer talks about issues like safety of the country, sleeper cells and intelligence agencies. We also see some well-balanced action.

Now when we get a sense that this is another Special 26, are we getting too optimistic?
