“Ganesh Chaturthi is one of Sonali’s favourite festivals. It brings back cherished memories, as her friends and family get together on the occasion,” says a source, adding, “Apart from the decoration, she also ensures that her guests are well looked after.”

However, the actor has decided to keep things low-key this year. “Sonali lost her dog, so it will be a quiet affair,” says the source.

“The festival is a special time for my family and me. I leave all my work aside to welcome the lord. This year has been sad for us, as we lost our pet. We will have a quiet, solemn celebration this time,” says Sonali.
