I learned to play golf a week before the shoot began: Nawaz on Freaky Ali
The actor recently spoke about his upcoming movie, Freaky Ali, at a press conference in Delhi saying that he started learning to play golf merely a week before the shoot. Freaky Ali is about a lovable small-time gangster, played by Nawaz, who somehow gets hooked to golf.
Film stars love to boast about the rigourous training they go through for a sports film but Nawazuddin Siddiqui isn’t one of them. He says it like it is.

The actor said that he started learning golf only a week before the shooting of Freaky Ali, his upcoming movie based on the life of an accidental golfer.

He said, “Sidharth Arora ji taught me how to play golf a week before the shooting of the movie started. It helped me get into the skin of the character. ”
Sidharth Arora, who is also making his debut in Bollywood with Freaky Ali, is the director of Golfing Nation, an organisation which provided consultation to Freaky Ali for an authentic look.
“It was an honour to work with Sohail Khan on Freaky Ali. A movie based on Golf in India was never thought of. I am indeed grateful to him for showcasing our passion on the silver screen. We hope that this movie will bring awareness in the public and make golf the next big sport in India,” said Sidharth.
Freaky Ali is directed by Sohail Khan and also stars Arbaaz Khan, Amy Jackson, Jas Arora. The film is set to be released on September 9.
