Last year, actor Ayushmann Khurrana confessed to being a bit wary when he was cast opposite Sonam Kapoor in Bewakoofiyan (2014). "Initially, I was slightly sceptical, because she is a fashion icon, and I am a boy-next-door," he had told HT Café.

Now, Sonam’s co-star in her next Dolly Ki Doli, Varun Sharma (who was seen in Fukrey; 2013) says he had a similar experience. "Shooting with her has been fantastic. Not once did she make me feel like I’m just a couple of films old. Honestly, I was initially a bit wary of Sonam, keeping in mind her fashionista image. I had heard and read so much about it," he says.

But all the doubts were erased during their first meeting itself. Varun says, "The ice was broken when we had our first workshop together at a studio. She is one of the most humble co-stars. Although I am new to the industry, I could easily tell that besides being extremely talented, she is also very friendly and happy-go-lucky."
