Actor Irrfan Khan is apparently unhappy with Barfi!’s selection as India’s entry for the Oscars in the Best Foreign Language Film category.

Actor Irrfan Khan is apparently unhappy with Barfi!’s selection as India’s entry for the Oscars in the Best Foreign Language Film category.
Barfi! was chosen from a list of 17 films, including Khan’s Paan Singh Tomar. “I wish we would be as serious about Oscars in our country! In spite of knowing that a few scenes from Barfi! have been copied, our film federation chose it over something which is original. How can that film stand a chance of making it to the nomination list?” Khan was quoted as saying in an interview.
