Apparently, during one of the scenes involving a few wrestlers in her upcoming film, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, the filmmakers were thinking of adding dialogue that would inspire the wrestlers to develop strong physiques. “Everyone was in two minds over whom to name in the sequence. Then Genelia suddenly stated, "In logon ko to main John Abraham in langot bana doongi." (I will make these people look like John Abraham in a loincloth). We were wondering whether to go ahead with it or not,” says a unit insider.

Even as the team was brainstorming over it, Genelia was convinced that John would fit the bill, considering he is famous for his beefy frame.

“And as far as we know, she also spoke to John about it in passing. And he took it very sportingly, and had no problems with them using his name in the film,” says the insider.

Apparently, the makers were also thinking of other well-built actors whose names they could include in the scene. “But we weren’t sure about how they would react to it. And since Genelia had worked with John in Force (2011), it made the decision a little easier for all of us. She was also quite confident about it,” says the insider.

When contacted, Tere Naal… producer Kumar Taurani says, “Genelia shares a great rapport with John and has even shared screen space with him in Force. She insisted that he is one of the fittest men in the industry, and that it seemed apt to use him as an example in the dialogue.”

The movie also stars Genelia’s real-life hubby Riteish Deshmukh and will release on February 24.
