Ram Gopal Varma's controversial film Not a Love Story, has found an admirer in director-producer Mahesh Bhatt. Bhatt, 62, is all praise for the crime/thriller and says that it is an audacious film made by an equally audacious director.

"Not A Love Story is an audacious work of a filmmaker who wants to touch the audience rather than impress them. Its world view moves you," Bhatt wrote on Twitter.

"Ram Gopal Verma deserves a standing ovation for making an outstanding film, Not A Love Story raises the bar for Indian cinema. Ramu uses a brand new technology in this film. This film will certainly be a game changer," Bhatt added.

The film is based on the gruesome murder of Neeraj Grover in 2008 that led to the arrest of Emile Jerome and Maria Susairaj. It stars Mahie Gill, Deepak Dobriyal and Ajay Gehiand will hit the theatres on August 19.

Incidentally, Bhatt had also planned a film on the same incident, which is likely to be the story of Murder 3.
