Director Sooraj Barjatya of Rajshri Films was last seen working with Salman Khan in the former’s home production, Hum Aapke Hai Kaun (1994). Now, 16 years later, the duo has come together again to work on Barjatya’s niece Vidhi Kasliwal’s debut film, Isi Life Mein.

Barjatya approached the actor some time back to offer him a cameo in Kasliwal’s film, and was pleased to see how readily Khan agreed to the role. Not only that, Khan even came to the sets of the movie and encouraged the debutante director. "He gave the entire team as much time as they needed to prepare the shot, interacted with the cast and spent an entire day on the set," Barjatya says.

Salman KhanKhan was also slated to attend the music launch of the film, but a shoot for one of his forthcoming films kept him busy. "Salman was shooting for another film in Panvel, so he couldn’t make it. But he sent a message from the set to be read out to the cast during the party," Barjatya adds.

Ever since his headstart in Maine Pyaar Kiya (1989) Khan has maintained that he owes his success to Barjatya. And now, the director may just be considering casting him in his upcoming projects.

“I’ve approached Salman for the next film I’m directing. Currently, I’m working on several scripts, and once the script for the movie is locked, I’m going to show it to Salman bhai. The film will tentatively go on the floors around the end of 2011 or early 2012, since Salman is busy with a couple of films,” says Barjatya, who apart from films, is currently establishing a television production business.
