“I can’t talk much about the character except for the fact that it’s quite well fleshed out. When I got the script, I literally finished reading it in an hour. She (Sobhita’s character) is young and an absolute alpha; her role has interesting layers. She is a little more than the girl-next-door,” Sobhita says, adding that she is also glad to have worked with actors Rishi Kapoor and Emraan Hashmi in the film, an official remake of the Spanish thriller El Cuerpo.
She says, “Rishi ji is fun to be around on the set. He used to keep everyone amused with his humour. Emraan, on the other hand, was more like me. He is so millennial. I had a comfortable working equation with him. We used to talk like bros… He is always ready to push himself. The kind of movies he watches, his knowledge of world cinema, understanding of the nuances of the art form… he is geeky like me.”
What also added to her wonderful experience is working with Jeethu. “He is a calculated and sharp director, who shoots according to the edit. So, no time or scenes get wasted in confusion. He comes completely prepared. Before working with him, I thought he’d be super strict, but he isn’t. He isn’t very talkative, but he is open to interpretation and inputs,” adds the actor.
